On Wednesday, December 12, you are invited to join us at Bethany Lutheran Church in Princeton, Minnesota, for a meditative service of Advent lessons and carols at 7 p.m. The bidding prayer in this service begins with these words that sum up the purpose of this service: “Beloved in Christ, as we await the great festival of Christmas, let us prepare ourselves so that we may be shown its true meaning. Let us hear, in lessons from Holy Scripture, how the prophets of Israel foretold that God would visit and redeem His waiting people. Let us rejoice, in our carols and hymns, that the good purpose of God is being mightily fulfilled.”
On Sunday, December 16, the children of Bethany Lutheran Sunday School will present “Shepherds, Sheep, and Lambs,” a Christmas carols service that explores the connections between the Christmas shepherds, Jesus Christ the Lamb of God, and our status as sheep and lambs of the Good Shepherd. Please join us at 9 a.m. Sunday as our Good Shepherd feeds us with His Word, and we take up our place in His good pasture wanting to be nothing more than His sheep and lambs!
